Wolfenstein: The Old Blood Is Getting A Physical Release

by Mike Futter on Jun 08, 2015 at 04:26 AM

It's certainly not Bethesda's biggest announcement this month, but this one is of note to those who prefer their games on disc. The publisher has announced that its latest Wolfenstein title, The Old Blood, is getting a retail release.

Wolfenstein: The Old Blood is a prequel to 2014's The New Order. Even in its original digital release, it wasn't set up as DLC. Instead, Machine Games built and Bethesda published it as an affordable, standalone experience.

You'll be able to pick up a physical copy of BJ's latest bloody on July 21 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For more, check out our review.

Our Take
With the critical acclaim given to Wolfenstein: The New Order, a physical release makes sense. Retail means more eyes (and the chance for retailers to bundle the two games as an up-sell).
