Goat Simulator Credits Thank Kojima And Join The Plea For Silent Hills And P.T. To Return

by Brian Shea on May 10, 2015 at 09:45 AM

The developers behind Goat Simulator have updated the credits to its over-the-top game. Developer Coffee Stain Studios posted an image on the official Goat Simulator Facebook page showing the update, which thanks Hideo Kojima and begs for the return of his recently canceled project, Silent Hills, and its accompanying teaser, P.T.

Silent Hills was originally to be developed by Kojima Productions in collaboration with film director Guillermo del Toro. The project was set to star Norman Reedus as the lead protagonist. P.T. (Playable Teaser) was a free downloadable game released on PlayStation 4 to tease Silent Hills. The teaser received critical acclaim, but following the cancellation of Silent Hills, Konami removed P.T. from the PlayStation Store, even preventing users who had previously downloaded the game from redownloading it if they deleted it. Prior to that, rumors of turmoil at Kojima Productions surfaced following the removal of Kojima's name from the boxart of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

The new Goat Simulator credits add a mention of Hideo Kojima in a section called "Extra Special Thanks." On the Facebook page, the above image's caption states, "We heard that Hideo Kojima was removed from the credits for Metal Gear Solid 5 so we added him to the credits for Goat Simulator. You're always welcome to work with us Kojima!"
