Star Wars Outlaws is one of the most anticipated games of the year. This is primarily because of the intellectual property, but also because the concept is appealing as an open-world single-player adventure. Here you will find the Star Wars Outlaws early access release date along with how to get it for under £20 so you don’t have to pay either the Gold or Ultimate edition price.
A story trailer was recently released for the game and it once again confirmed the involvement of the famous Jabba the Hut. Ubisoft has previously hyped the game as featuring a GTA-like Wanted system, and its gameplay has also seen comparisons made to Uncharted as well as the cancelled Star Wars 1313 project many fans were once excited about.
Star Wars fans have had a rough year so far with the Battlefront Classic Collection failing from day one. Here’s hoping Outlaws is another terrific video game adaptation following on from EA’s Jedi Fallen Order and Jedi Survivor, and, if you’re particularly excited, you can get early access.
Star Wars Outlaws early access release date
The Star Wars Outlaws early access release date is August 27th. Meanwhile, the Standard edition will launch for everyone three days later on August 30th.
This was confirmed by the official StarWarsOutlaws Twitter account in conjunction with the release of the story trailer. You can check out the story trailer in the embedded tweet below, and it shows snippets action action-oriented third-person gameplay while heavily focusing on the narrative you will explore while playing as Kay Vess.
How to get Star Wars Outlaws early access
You need to pre-order either the Gold or Ultimate edition to get Star Wars Outlaws early access. Below are the prices and pre-order bonuses for every available edition via the PSN store:

How to get early access under £20
If you don’t fancy paying over £100 to get early access to Star Wars Outlaws, you can instead get it for under £20. This is by subscribing to Ubisoft Plus Premium on either PC or Xbox.
Ubisoft Plus Premium costs £14.99 per month, and it will feature the Ultimate edition, and thus early access, of Star Wars Outlaws from day one on August 27th. Although you won’t own the game, you could subscribe to Ubisoft Plus Premium for a month and cancel your subscription so you are not charged an extra £14.99 every following month.
This is an option for fans simply interested in playing the game once and not owning it. Unfortunately, Ubisoft Plus Premium is not available on PS5 as PlayStation only has access to Ubisoft Plus Classics. This does not include the release of new day-one games from the publisher.
