With Chapter 5 Season 2 around the corner, many Fortnite players are excited for its content. Once again, Epic Games will bring many new things to the game, from a new Battle Pass to gameplay features. In addition to these, the development team will release a couple of Fortnite map changes, and it appears that some of them have already been leaked.

As we are less than 24 hours away from a new season, we expect many other leaks to come out soon. However, before we get to the map leak, we need to bring up free Fortnite skins, as many of them will expire with the release of Season 2. Due to this, you should unlock them as soon as possible. Doing this will expand your locker and increase the value of your Fortnite account.

The upcoming map changes may have been leaked by the Fortnite developer

Epic Games has released a lot of new cosmetics to Fortnite’s Item Shop over the past few weeks. One of these cosmetics is The Squabble emote, which the developer used to tease an upcoming skin, Casual Raptor. Interestingly, in a video for the emote, Epic has seemingly leaked a couple of upcoming map changes in Fortnite. More specifically, it appears that Snooty Steppes will receive a couple of changes.

At the moment, Snooty Steppes is the domain of Peter Griffin. This popular Family Guy character is a boss who drops a Mythic weapon and a Society Medallion. However, considering that he’s also a limited-time character, it makes sense for Epic to remove him with the next season. The video below shows a couple of changes that may arrive with Chapter 5 Season 2.

As you can see, the Fortnite character is standing on a platform that doesn’t currently exist in this area. In addition to this, the terrain looks slightly different, and a couple of things, such as Ascenders and Grind Lights, are missing. While this may not mean much, we expect Snooty Steppes to be replaced by a new location in Chapter 5 Season 2.

While the map changes seen in the video above are minor, this could just be a hint that the popular Fortnite location will be gone next season. However, we will have to wait for Season 2 to come out before we can confirm this. The season is scheduled to come out on Friday at 2 AM Eastern Time. However, it won’t be playable right away due to Fortnite downtime, which may last for a few hours.
