Suicide Squad PS5

Less than one hour into Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League's public availability via the Deluxe Edition, the game has been taken offline because a bug is auto-completing the entire game for select players. The PS5 title is now up for sale in New Zealand, but closing the servers for maintenance means it'll be unplayable for "several hours".

"We’re aware that a number of players are currently experiencing an issue whereby upon logging into the game for the first time, they have full story completion," the game's official Twitter account stated. "To resolve this issue, we will be performing maintenance on the game servers." This renders Suicide Squad unplayable because it requires a connection to the servers. An offline mode will be patched in down the line.

Now, whenever Suicide Squad players boot the game up, they're greeted by an error screen explaining "the servers are currently in maintenance mode". Presumably, those affected will have their game progress reset, but what about the Trophies? Did they auto-pop and the Platinum Trophy has already been unlocked by New Zealand players? These are the more important questions!

Early access roles out for Deluxe Edition owners across the next 24 hours, then the normal release takes place this Friday on 2nd February 2024. Do you think the bug will be fixed in time for everyone else wanting to play the game? Let us know in the comments below.
