Epic Games has given players a heavy dose of nostalgia with the current ongoings in Fortnite. Players have been teleported to the past and are currently enjoying a return to OG season 1. While nostalgia is hard to beat, Epic Games is about to deliver something unseen next chapter. This exciting Fortnite leak unearths a competitive music mode coming in Chapter 5 Season 1, and the leaked songs will surely get you to frequent the dance floor.

The next saga in Epic Games’ battle royale is about to begin very soon. The start date and time for the Big Bang live event is right over the horizon, and it will spiral us all into the beginning of Chapter 5 Season 1. However, before this live event begins, Epic Games is releasing the Eminem skin for players to purchase. This comes with three skins for the famous slim shady rapper to perfectly represent his different decades on top of the music industry.

Eminem’s arrival in the game is no doubt exciting, but what’s even more so is the debut of a new mode. Leaks have shared heavy details for a brand new music mode, and it sounds like a great break from the daily routine of gunning people down on the battlefield.

Huge Fortnite leak reveals incoming music mode

Exciting Fortnite leaks have unearthed details surrounding a competitive music mode for Chapter 5 Season 1. According to the often reliable Hypex, this new gameplay mode will arrive on December 9th. It is reportedly called ‘Festival,’ and it will be jampacked with free rewards to unlock. Hypex also revealed that it is a rhythm mode, and you will be able to play instruments like guitar, drums, and bass, or you will be able to lead as the rockstar singer. The mode will be playable in solo and team.

Following on from Hypex, the Egyptian Fortnite leaker has shared more details about how Festival will reportedly work. It’s supposedly a rhythm mode inspired by the Rock Band video game series, and you will be able to compete in Music Battles against other players online or against a local friend. Songs will range from easy to medium to hard, and stars will be rewarded depending on your performance on stage. To further add to the competitive scene, there will be a leaderboard that can be sorted by newest, oldest, lowest, and highest scores.

But what’s a good music mode without banging tunes? Fortunately, it appears as though the Festival will be stuffed with great songs. According to Hypex, there will be the following songs in the game:

  • Lady Gaga – Pokerface
  •  Linkin Park – Numb
  •  Toto – Africa
  •  Imagine Dragons – Thunder
  •  Alice Cooper – Poison
  •  Fortnite Music Packs

What’s particularly good about the above selection is the range of songs. There’s pop like Lady Gaga and then there’s classic rock like Alice Cooper’s Poison. There will be more songs in the game, this is only what has been revealed so far. Of course, none of this has been confirmed by Epic Games. As of writing, this upcoming mode is simply a leak.

In other Fortnite news, Epic Games is reverting to a cosmetic update next month. Fans also have the Chapter 5 Season 1 start date to anticipate following the Big Bang event, and all of this will lead to very a jolly and merry Christmas.
