Predicted Release Window for Deep Rock Galactic Season 5
The predicted release window for Season 5 of Deep Rock Galactic is June 2024. Ghost Ship Games confirmed in a recent development update that Season 5 is expected to be released around then.
Unfortunately, this means a long wait for fans of the game. Season 4 began back in June of 2023, making Season 5 a whole year wait for new content. However, there is good news. The developers have been working on a whole new game in the franchise, Deep Rock Galactic: Rogue Core. Making this game has pushed the roadmap for Deep Rock Galactic a bit behind.
Deep Rock Galactic Season 5 content
It’s unknown at this time what will be in Season 5. However, we do know that a new Performance Pass will be released, filled with new cosmetics. There will also likely be new missions and events to play in the new season.
Another thing to expect is content in-game celebrating the upcoming release of Rogue Core. Players could also potentially look forward to a new cosmetics DLC pack.

How long are Deep Rock Galactic Seasons?
Typically, seasons for the game last for around six to seven months. However, with the wait for Season 5 confirmed to be longer, there will be an entire year between the beginning of Season 4 and Season 5. Here’s how previous seasons have gone:
- Season 1: Rival Incursion – November 2021 to April 2022
- Season 2: Rival Escalation – April 2022 to November 2022
- Season 3: Plaguefall – November 2022 to June 2023
- Season 4: Critical Corruption – June 2023 to TBD
It is yet to be determined how long Season 5 will be. With the development of the new game still happening during Season 5, fans can expect it to be another long wait before the end of Season 5’s content. This will give you plenty of time to earn those exclusive cosmetics in the Performance Pass.
Will there be a Season 6 of Deep Rock Galactic?
Yes, confirmed in the development update there will be a Season 6. However, it won’t be until 2025. It’s a part of the Deep Rock Galactic roadmap. This is a pretty long wait, but fans can enjoy Rogue Core until new announcements are made.
