Epic Games stopped releasing detailed Fortnite patch notes with the release of Chapter 2. Fortunately, Fortnite dataminers are very quick at extracting new data and revealing all the new changes. The v26.30 update, which came out on Tuesday morning, brought a lot of new content, including a Halloween event.

A lot of new content was leaked earlier in the season, including the Time Machine and a new interface. However, Epic has added even more amazing content, such as the Michael Myers skin, to the excitement of many players.

Gameplay changes

The latest Fortnite update has brought many gameplay changes. From new items to map changes, Epic Games has done a lot to make the game feel spooky for the Halloween event. Here are all the major changes that have come with the v26.30 update:

  • Blood Moon is now in the game
  • Time Machine added, shows July 12, 2018
  • New weapon: Wood Stake Shotgun and High Stakes’ Shotgun, its Mythic version
  • New weapon: Thorne’s Vampiric Blade
  • New Reality Augments: Mythic Grab Bag, Revamped, Trick or Treat, Witchy Warrior
  • Vault Cases are no longer active
  • Pumpkin Launcher unvaulted
  • Witch Broom unvaulted
  • Candy unvaulted

New cosmetic items and interface

The v26.30 update comes with numerous new cosmetic items. To the delight of many players, Epic Games finally added Michael Myers to the battle royale game. In addition, a few more collaborations have also been added and will come to the Item Shop during the Fortnitemares event.

  • Michael Myers
  • Alan Wake
  • Jack Skellington
  • Seth
  • Festival Phaedra
  • Phantom Meowscles
  • Heartbreak Ranger
  • Bogstick
  • Runway Racer

A few of these characters have also been added to the island as NPCs, including Phantom Meowscles. Furthermore, players may unlock free Fortnitemares rewards during the event.

The latest Fortnite update also brought a new user interface. The game is much easier to navigate and this change makes it feel fresh and new. Not only does the interface look good, but it’s also meant to improve navigation across the board, including the Discover tab.

Fortnite’s Creative mode has received a big upgrade with the new update as well. Custom lobby backgrounds, save point device and persistance, and new weapons have all arrived on Tuesday.
