Genshin Impact third anniversary 2023 – date, events, gifts, and more

Genshin Impact’s third anniversary is fast approaching, and we finally have all the details about what we can expect to see during the celebrations. The date is locked in and will take place on September 28, 2023, since Genshin Impact was released on September 28 2020. In those three years, the game has grown massively from patch 1.0.

In the past with Genshin anniversaries, we’ve been treated to free Wishes, limited rewards, and fun events, and this remains true for the Genshin Impact third anniversary celebrations. More information about the Genshin Impact third anniversary event has now been revealed during the 4.1 live stream, and it’s more of what we’re used to from Genshin anniversaries.

When is the Genshin Impact third anniversary?

Genshin Impact’s third anniversary is on September 28, 2023. This date has been confirmed for the third-anniversary celebrations, and the 28th will mark three years since Genshin Impact was initially released. Since the release, both of the previous anniversary events have occurred on September 28 2021 and 2022. September 28 is also the release date for the next update, patch 4.1 in Genshin Impact, making the third-anniversary event take place during patch 4.1

Genshin Impact third anniversary rewards

The main feature of all Genshin Impact anniversary events is the login bonus which gives you 10 free wishes. During the Genshin Impact third anniversary, the Bathing in Flowing Moonlight check-in event will take place and will give you 10 Intertwined Fate. In addition, we will also get 1,600 Primogems, 4 Fragile Resin, and two commemorative Gadgets. All told, that’s a total of 20 wishes from the Genshin Impact third anniversary.

Outside of these two things, Genshin Impact’s in-game store will reset the Genesis Crystal top-up bonuses you get for buying Genesis Crystal packs for the first time. This will only be important to you if you’ve ever bought Genesis Crystals from the online shop, letting you get double the amount on your first purchase.

Genshin Impact third anniversary event

During the Genshin Impact this anniversary, the main event will be called Waterborn Poetry. Taking part in the various minigames and quests during this event will give you the following rewards:

• Primogems
• Ballad of the Boundless Blue (4-star Catalyst)
• Dandelion Bookmark

Other than this, the anniversary celebrations in the past feature an event that will give us plenty of Primogems, Mora, and other helpful items. In 2021, the event was called Moonlight Merriment, while in 2022 we had Of Ballads and Brews. While these events aren’t specific or exclusive to the anniversary, they tend to be a bit bigger when they coincide with anniversary celebrations.
