Capcom has dropped its newest update to beat-em-up Street Fighter 6, including dropping the game’s latest Fighting Pass ahead of the launch of the newest addition to the Street Fighter 6 roster, Rashid.

While we still don’t have a specific date for the new fighter, the first DLC is set to arrive in the game in Summer 2023 so today’s update brings a host of themed cosmetics for players to earn from today until July 23. The pass’s premium rewards include items such as an emote Avatar Gear, a Device Wallpaper, Stickers, and three pieces of Music – Rashid’s Theme, Laura’s Theme and Necalli’s Theme. There’s also a new classic Capcom game for the arcade in the form of Hyper Drive Side Arms, and a new emote. Those not wanting to splash out 250 Fighter Coins can also get a bunch of new free rewards too.

Elsewhere, the patch notes are succinct, but include adjustments to the number of Battle Hub servers, which Capcom say is to lessen network stream and hopefully make everyone’s online experience that little bit smoother. There’s also a temporary fix for a pesky throw escape bug in this patch, but it doesn’t fix the issue entirely, but should make the bug more difficult to intentionally replicate until they can fix it for good.

Here then are the patch notes for the new Street Fighter 6 update courtesy of Capcom.

Street Fighter 6 patch notes July 4, 2023

  • The “Rashid Arrives!” Fighting Pass has started.
  • A club recruitment campaign is now underway.
  • The number of Battle Hub servers have been adjusted in order to lessen network strain.
  • A temporary fix has been implemented to address a known throw escape bug. The current fix makes it much more difficult to intentionally replicate the bug, and a solution to address the root cause is still being worked on.

Street Fighter 6 is available now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and PC. For more on the game check out our guide on how to get drive tickets in Street Fighter 6.
