It was revealed yesterday at the Nintendo Direct that Vampire Survivors would be coming to Nintendo Switch on August 17. However, fans are focusing on the second announcement that a brand-new couch co-op mode with up to four players is also set to come to the game on the same date for free.

While the announcement was made at a Nintendo Direct, the co-op mode is set to make its way to all consoles. Taking to the Vampire Survivors Reddit page fans have been sharing their excitement for the brand-new addition to the game. User Bloodstarvedhunter said, “This is what I’ve been waiting and hoping for, just worried how the switch will handle the end game with millions of eggs equipped.”

Some players are even fearing for their marriage as one player said, “My husband and I have been wanting this! This could either improve or obliterate our marriage!” Others even shiver at the thought of how difficult it would be to tell what’s going on with a full four-player group with user EloeOmoe saying, “I can’t imagine how difficult it will be to actually see anything in this game with 4 players all maxed out at the 30-minute mark.”

Players have even begun to start wondering about a possible PvP mode at some point in the future with user real_animefan saying, “ok now let’s say hypothetically PvP.” Another user expanded on a potential idea for a PvP mode outlining, “PvP would probably be like Bloons Tower Defense. You’re playing a regular game of vampire survivor on your side, but you can find pickups that send strong enemies to the opponent side and last player standing win.”

A lot of other great stuff was also revealed at the Nintendo Direct yesterday including Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Detective Pikachu Returns and a Super Mario RPG remake. Despite this, there were a few noticeable absences so we’ve put together a list of 7 games missing from the June 2023 Nintendo Direct.
