How to Build a Prison in V Rising

V Rising Castle

Unfortunately, players cannot build a Prison early in the game. It is only available much later in the game after defeating several bosses for their blood. However, once the player is able, they will need to unlock Prison Cells via the following steps:

  1. Locate Vincent the Frostbiter in the Dunley Farmlands. Players can track Vincent the Frostbiter by interacting with the Blood Altar.
  2. Kill Vincent the Frostbiter for his V Blood.
  3. Acquire the Prison Cell recipe.

Now, the player will be able to build Prison Cells, but they will need several cells to build a Prison system. Every Prison Cell requires 12 ingots after processing Iron Ore at the Furnace.

Players can build Prison Cells after creating a dedicated closed room in the castle. Then, they will need to follow these simple steps:

  1. Access the Build Menu by pressing B on the keyboard.
  2. Under the Production tab, select Dominance.
  3. Place the Prison Cell in the castle.

By building multiple Prison Cells, players can build an elaborate Prison system. It is worth noting players can increase efficiency with Prison Flooring, which is a recipe that can be unlocked after unlocking Athenaeum from the technology research station. Athenaeum becomes available once the player has defeated Raziel the Shepherd in the Dunley Monastery.

Players may also unlock Prison Flooring by locating the Prison Flooring book by killing enemies. With Prison Flooring, prisoners will take reduced damage while extracting blood. Players also have the option to unlock Prison Walls, but it will not have any impact on Prison Cells.

Once players have a Prison, they can charm enemies to return to their castle as prisoners. Upon returning to the castle, players can visit the Prison and select the Imprison option to lock enchanted enemies for blood later. Players can continue feeding on prisoners, but must feed them to keep them alive.

V Rising is available on PC.
