After a patient eleven year wait since the last game, the first gamers are about to get their hands on Blizzards latest ARPG Diablo 4, with the early access for those who’ve purchased the game’s deluxe editions to begin imminently.

The highly anticipated RPG will start letting eager players into the gates of hell tonight – first off, those who’ve opted for early access enter on Friday June 2. They’ll be followed by those who are willing to wait for the standard release time of Tuesday, June 6.

If you’re wanting to be ready and prepared for the gates of hell to open, then read on.

Diablo 4 preload time

The Diablo 4 preload time will begin on May 30 at 4PM PT / 7PM ET / 12AM BST. According to Blizzard’s statement, you’ll need to purchase any version of the game beforehand to install it. Once you have it in your library, you’ll be able to play it on your preferred PlayStation, Xbox, or PC platform.

It’s sure to be a popular release – given the success of the previous Diablo 4 beta and the subsequent Server Slam that followed. Fans will no doubt be eager to pick up right where they left off (even if progress doesn’t carry over) and also claim their Diablo 4 open beta rewards.

Diablo 4 preload size

Blizzard has confirmed that the game will take up 90GB on PC, 80GB on Xbox and 76GB on the PlayStation consoles, so make sure there’s enough space on your hard drive before you begin your download of the game.

Diablo 4 Start time

Blizzard clarified the launch times for the highly anticipated Diablo 4 some two months ahead of the RPG’s full launch. Although the reveal of both the early access and actual release times were initially provided by Blizzard Entertainment president Mike Ybarra, it has now been officially confirmed based on a new blog post from the publishers.

“Oops, I was wrong!” he tweeted. “Early access for Deluxe and Ultimate pre-orders in the US is Thursday 6/1 at 4PM, 6/2 at 12am in Europe, 6/2 at 8am in Asia. Regular launch 6/5 at 4pm, 6/6 at 12am Europe and 6/6 8am Asia.” Of course, you’ll need to purchase the more expensive variants of Diablo 4 to gain access to the pre-release period.

Alas, this is the only way you’ll be able to get into the game early. This means if you want to get a quick start, then we suggest purchasing either the Deluxe or Ultimate edition. But at least now you know when you’ll be able to play it for real as well.

Elsewhere, Blizzard has detailed what players can expect from Diablo 4’s endgame content that it hopes will keep you glued to your seat long after the game’s credits have rolled.
