After completing the game's first main story mission and making their way down to the surface, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players will find that the game really starts to open up. They'll be free to travel pretty much anywhere they want to in the Kingdom of Hyrule, making this an excellent opportunity to complete a few more shrines to increase Link's heart capacity and stamina.

The Jiosin Shrine is one of many that can be found by exploring the Hyrule Field area and is one of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom's most enjoyable shrines. This is because rather than trying to teach players something or having them square off against enemies in order to prove their skills in combat, it simply asks that they use their brains in order to solve a very well-thought-out puzzle.

Jiosin Shrine Location

Players will likely stumble across the Jiosin Shrine when they first arrive on the surface, as it's right between the spot where they land and Lookout Landing, which they'll need to pay a visit to as part of the To the Kingdom of Hyrule main story quest. It's due south of the settlement, right between the Passeri Greenbelt to the west and the Mabe Village Ruins to the east. For those who are still having trouble finding it, the coordinates for the Jiosin Shrine are -0240, -0374, 0026.

Jiosin Shrine Walkthrough

In order to complete the Jiosin Shrine, players will need to use Link's Ultrahand ability to rotate a couple of large stone objects and then slide them through a few holes. It's a bit like one of those shape-sorter toys, only with much more complicated shapes. The first one's not so bad though, with players simply needing to rotate the object so that its profile looks like the letter X, after which, they can slide it through the slot and then use it to cross the gap and reach the next part of the shrine.

To rotate objects, players will need to grab them with Ultrahand and then hold the R button. Doing so will enable them to rotate the object on both its X and Y axis by using the Up, Down, Left, and Right buttons on the D-Pad.

For the second object, players will need to pass it through two different slots, removing it from one chamber and then taking it through into another. Thankfully, getting it through the first slot isn't all that difficult, with the closest of the two cubes needing to be on the left with the one to its right. Once in the larger area, players can use the object to reach a chest containing a Hasty Elixir by placing it up against the far wall and then using the Ascend ability to get on top of it.

After claiming the chest, players should rotate the object so that the profile of the cube closest to them looks like a diamond and is on top. If done correctly, they should be able to slide the object through into the next chamber, where they can use it to reach the shrine's statue. As with the chest, they'll need to prop it up against the wall and then use Ascend to get on top of it, after which, they'll be free to head into the statue chamber and claim its Light of Blessing for themselves.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
