You can grab 70% off one of 2022’s best racing games on PS5

PlayStation has kicked off their latest Big Games Big Deals promotion on the PlayStation Store, offering deep discounts on a number of big name-games, including a great discount on one of 2022’s best racers.

As the name suggests, the sale is mainly focused around some of the most well known titles available on the system, with discounts on Call of Duty and FIFA among others. But one of the best discounts for our money is a whopping 70% off the most recent entry in EA’s long-running racing series in the form of Need for Speed Unbound for the PlayStation 5. While normally the game would set you back £69.99, the discount means you can nab the game for just £20.99.

While it’s not quite up there with the best the series has had to offer, Need for Speed Unbound is still an excellent driving game in its own right, and certainly the best Need for Speed in some time. Developed by series veterans Criterion, it retains the nighttime street racing synonymous with the NFS name, and adds some excellent touches that harken back to the classic Underground entries. And while the semi-comic book art style is a little divisive – we think it gives the racer a unique character and sets it apart from its peers – and is certainly worth picking up at this cheaper price.

Elsewhere in the sale you can also find discounts on Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2’s Vault Edition (25% off), the well reviewed WWE 2K23 Deluxe Edition (25% off) and a decent saving on EA’s final entry before it changes the name of its soccer sim: FIFA 23 (60%). There’s also bargains to be had on The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt (50%) and a couple of savings that will allow you to decide which space horror is the true king – with 30% off the Dead Space Remake’s Deluxe Edition or 40% off The Callisto Protocol’s Digital Deluxe Edition.
