Simulated Universe in Honkai: Star Rail is a challenge made by Herta to better understand the Aeons of the galaxy. To ensure a fun experience, she installs plenty of things Trailblazers can mess around with, like destructible objects people can destroy along the way.

However, the challenge is not all fun and games as some enemies can be tough without a proper preparation, especially for F2P players with limited characters in Honkai: Star Rail. Fortunately, every Simulated Universe World can be defeated even with free characters and equipment, so players don’t have to worry too much about not being able to complete the Simulated Universe.

6 World 1 - Physical Trailblazer + Natasha + Asta + Dan Heng

Being the first Simulated Universe there is with no additional levels, most people likely won’t have any trouble completing SU1. In fact, it may feel somewhat similar to Trial of Equilibrium level 1 in Honkai: Star Rail, given the fact that there are two bosses to fight in the end.

The bosses are quite contradictory as one is Ice-resistant while the other is Fire-resistant, so bringing just Fire or Ice may not be effective for the resistant boss. Fortunately, the enemy has other Elements as weakness, and players can use Wind and Physical for them. Quantum is also viable, but considering the only F2P Quantum character is Qingque, and she’s not the best 4-star character in Honkai: Star Rail, it’s better if players stick with Physical Trailblazer and Dan Heng as the main DPS.

5 World 2 - March 7th + Natasha + Asta + Serval

Similar to the first World, SU2 also has two bosses at the end. However, this time, the boss shares the same set of resistance. Even though both bosses are weak to Ice, it’s important to note that they have Frozen RES, so March can’t freeze them unless she’s assisted by the right Simulated Universe Blessings.

In this stage, players will use March 7th and Serval against the boss as they’re both weak to Ice and Lightning. Meanwhile, Asta will assist with the Automaton Grizzly and the normal-boss, the Stormbringer.

4 World 3 - Physical Trailblazer + Natasha + March 7th + Serval

From World 3 onward, players will gradually unlock harder stages of the fight, so knowing how to properly beat the next four Worlds with a F2P team can be important. In World 3, the main boss is Gepard, who has Physical, Lightning, and Imaginary weakness. Unfortunately, there’s no free Imaginary character, so players have to rely on Physical and Lightning from Physical Trailblazer and Serval. Natasha can also deplete Gepard’s Toughness when she’s not healing.

Meanwhile, March 7th will help against the normal bosses as three out of four are weak to Ice. However, if players prefer a faster fight, they can totally use Dan Heng as a Hunt unit to single-target beefy enemies.

3 World 4 - Fire Trailblazer + Natasha + Serval + Dan Heng

Simulated Universe World 4 in Honkai: Star Rail has Svarog as the main boss. To go against this foe, players need Fire, Lightning, and Wind, however, Wind and Lightning are especially important to battle Svarog’s mechanical hand that could steal a teammate and deal large damage if left alone.

But, before fighting against Svarog, there are more enemies that are weak to Fire compared to those vulnerable to Wind. Therefore, players can use Asta instead of Dan Heng for some normal bosses like Stormbringer, Frigid Prowler, and Automaton Grizzly.

2 World 5 - Physical Trailblazer + March 7th + Natasha + Dan Heng

Simulated Universe World 5 in Honkai: Star Rail will unlock once players beat Kafka in the main quest as she will be the main boss in SU5. She’s weak to Physical and Wind, so players should use Physical Trailblazer and Dan Heng as the main DPS. However, one important mechanic from Kafka is that she can turn your character against your own if her debuff isn’t cleansed. Because of this, players should use both March 7th and Natasha to heal and protect the team from this deadly effect.

Even though the friendly-hit is likely not too harmful, if players allow Kafka to capture all their characters, the players will never move, and Kafka will keep on attacking, sweeping the team swiftly. All normal bosses in Simulated Universe World 5 are vulnerable to Ice, Wind, and Physical, so this team doesn't have to be tweaked even against the normal chambers.

1 World 6 - Fire Trailblazer + Natasha + March 7th + Asta

With Fire Trailblazer unlocked during the Cocolia boss fight in Honkai: Star Rail, it’s only poetic that players use Fire MC to fight Cocolia in Simulated Universe World 6 too. The Preservation Trailblazer is brilliant for several reasons, first, they can take Cocolia’s hits away from the teammates, second, every move will apply a small shield, and third, Cocolia, Bronya, and all her Ices are all vulnerable to Fire, perfect for the Trailblazer’s AoE Fire hit.

To fight Cocolia in a F2P team, the easiest way would be to focus on Preservation Blessings and let the boss kill themselves on the players’ shield, but once players are strong enough, they can use Serval instead of March 7th and go through the more offensive route. Additionally, players should also use Serval instead of March 7th or Natasha to go through the chambers as she’s a reliable DPS and most normal bosses in SU6 have a Lightning weakness.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
