Fortnite leakers have been digging through the files, and it seems that Raptors might be returning to the game next season in a significant way. Just a few weeks ago, Fortnite introduced its players to the megalithic Mega City. The entire season was promoted around this gigantic named location. Its futuristic, cyberpunk vibes gave a completely different feel to the game, but many players were happy to see this change. This was complemented by the addition of fast, turbo-boosted vehicles such as the Rogue Bike and the Nitro Drifter.

With the MEGA season coming to an end soon, gamers have started speculating what could be coming next. Dataminers have already started examining the files to try to figure this out. One of the many fan theories that have been circulating around the community is that the game is actually now going back in time and going to relive various important Fortnite events.

Leakers have discovered that Raptors have been readded to the files. They have also been updated, and it seems that they have been given audio files to indicate that they are resting or that they are feeling exhausted. This suggests that if they are to return to Fortnite they will most likely be rideable animals. And, oddly enough, this actually supports the reverse island theory. Raptors have not been around since Chapter 2, and their return could mean that the battle royale island is going back to its origins.

Raptors will most likely spawn in the jungle biome that was also uncovered in the Fortnite game files. It is believed that Windcatch Lake, east of Mega City, is an inactive volcano that will destroy the city and cause it to be overtaken by nature - and perhaps Raptors as well.

Regardless of whether there is a connection or not, many players were excited to hear that these creatures might be put back in the game. Some fans are hopeful that the reintroduction of Raptors could indicate a Jurassic Park collab - especially since the franchise will be celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Fortnite has done dozens of collaborations at this point, and it would be the perfect occasion for a Fortnite x Jurassic Park crossover event. There are also a bunch of opportunities for cosmetic items. Soon enough, Chapter 4 Season 2 will come to an end, and gamers will be able to find out more about what the next season has to offer.

Fortnite is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
