Level 34 is required in Honkai: Star Rail if players wish to progress with the main quest. However, after they reach Trailblaze Level 30, the game will once again lock players from leveling up as it's necessary to finish the Trial of Equilibrium Level 2 in Honkai: Star Rail. Completing the challenge will allow people to reach level 40.

Unlike the first test where players can do it easily, the Trial of Equilibrium Level 2 in Honkai: Star Rail needs some planning to face, especially for F2P players. Fortunately, all these preparations can be done for free, so people don't need to worry about waiting until they have sufficient Trailblaze Power to farm the required equipment.

How To Beat Equilibrium Trial Level 2 In Honkai Star Rail For F2P Players

beat trial equilibrium 2 honkai star rail strategy guide

With two enemies to beat in the Trial of Equilibrium Level 2 in Honkai: Star Rail, it can be tough to decide which one to face first. This section will explain the outline of actions players need to do to beat the challenge.

First, use Dan Heng’s Technique and go to the Stormbringer. Initiate the fight with Asta’s Technique. Then, follow these steps:

  1. Beat Everwinter Shadewalker (left minion) with Dan Heng’s Ult.
  2. Finish Incineration Shadewalker (right minion) with Dan Heng’s Skill.
  3. Once both minions are gone, use Asta Skill to break the boss' Toughness.
  4. The boss has Wind RES, so players can utilize Physical Trailblazer to slowly diminish the boss’ HP. However, aim to win the fight with Trailblazer’s Ultimate available.
  5. Heal with Natasha if necessary in Honkai: Star Rail. Otherwise, just use her Basic Attack.
  6. Once the boss is in low health, focus on regaining each character’s Ultimate.

Before going to the Guardian Shadow, use Dan Heng’s Technique first, then start the battle with Natasha’s Technique. This way, the fight will start with the Imaginary Weaver having Weakness Break. Now, follow these steps:

  1. Ult with Trailblazer, use the AoE version and aim at the Guardian Shadow.
  2. Use Dan Heng to finish the Imaginary Weaver if they're still alive.
  3. Players must pay attention to the Guardian Shadow’s mechanic. Sometimes, she bans people from using Skill, Basic Attack, or from hitting her entirely. Players can keep track of this by looking at the action button. A symbol will appear on the Basic Attack or Skill when it’s currently being banned. Ignoring the ban will cause the character to take a hit, but at this stage, it’s not deadly, so it’s still fine to ignore the ban.
  4. Cleanse debuff or heal with Natasha (must unlock her A2 Trace to cleanse) if necessary.
  5. From here, use Dan Heng and Trailblazer to break the boss' Toughness, and only Basic Attack with Asta and Natasha.

Equilibrium Trial Level 2 In Honkai Star Rail - Non-F2P Alternatives

Players with more freedom in characters can use those with Imaginary, Quantum, or Physical Elements for this challenge. For example, Seele, Welt, Sushang, and Clara in Honkai: Star Rail. Of course, since the second group of enemies has no specific RES, it’s fine for players to bring other Elements like Ice, Wind, and Fire. Therefore, some team comps players can try are:

  • Seele + Welt + Sushang + Clara
  • Seele + Sushang + Yanqing + Natasha
  • Welt + Yanqing + Clara + Sushang
  • Seele + Bronya + Physical Trailblazer + Asta
  • Seele + Yanqing + Sushang + Fire Trailblazer

Honkai: Star Rail is now available on Android, iOS, and PC. A PlayStation version is in development.
