One Stardew Valley player showcases an interesting trick in the game that could enable players to easily capture some of the game's legendary fish. Stardew Valley is a game that really allows players to make their way in the world through a modicum of means, whether it's the game's primary farming, or some other methods like fishing, fighting, foraging, or even mining for materials and geodes. However, for ones like fishing, it can be tough to get into as the mini-game that it involves can be a bit stressful and hard to manage, especially for some of the rarer and more legendary fish. Thankfully, one player figured out a way to get the most legendary fish in the game first try.

In Stardew Valley, fishing can be difficult to master. And when the player starts to go after some of the rarer fish, they're going to have plenty of difficulty trying to even catch them, with clips showing just how frustrating Stardew Valley's fishing experience can be. In many cases, the fish move too erratically.

However, catching some of Stardew Valley's legendary fish could be made easier with a trick a player has figured out. In a TikTok video, user salmence showed off this particular trick. In the video, they show that the very first fishing mini-game the player goes through is actually set up to guarantee a catch, as the meter won't go down at all. In addition, while this guaranteed catch is meant for easier fish and can't be used on later regular fish, legendary fish are the exception.

The video goes on to show the Stardew Valley player utilizing this to not catch any fish until they've gone down to the sewer, where they could catch the legendary fish the Mutant Carp. Then, they go even further, leveling up their fishing skill with fish ponds and crab traps so that they can get a guaranteed catch on The Legend, the hardest fish to catch in Stardew Valley.

As a game that gives players freedom to earn money in many different, this is just one more level of freedom provided to the player. With this, hopefully some players could find it easier to catch some of the game's hardest fish, giving them the Stardew Valley fishing collection they've always wanted.

Stardew Valley is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
