As part of the Grounded Super Duper update, Obsidian Entertainment is adding a new creature to the game in the form of the annoying Wasp. Though unwelcome, the arrival of this pesky and aggressive insect into the backyard naturally means that there’ll be a new armor set and weapons that you can craft with the resources you obtain from them.

But aside from the significant introduction of a new species, the developers have stated that the Grounded Super Duper update will be bringing in a similarly named machine to the Oak Tree Lab. They’ll also be adding “many quality-of-life changes, more than 100 new items to craft, and a brand new Base Coziness feature,” with this patch.

The previously mentioned and aptly named Super Duper machine can be used to “duplicate specific equipment and items using Raw Science.” What makes this device even better is that duplicated objects “will include all of the item’s upgrades,” meaning you won’t have to spend resources once again just to improve them. Keep in mind, though, that you will have to find Duper Discs throughout the yard in order to use the Super Duper machine.

A Base Coziness level system has also been added to the game, which you can raise by adding more furniture and decorations to your headquarters. Once you raise this new feature to a high enough level, you’ll be able to unlock a variety of different items including “decorative building recipes, a beneficial mutation for base building, and even new emotes.”

Several in-game improvements are set to arrive with this latest update, which you’ll be able to read about through the official developer blog post. Alternatively, you can also check out their in-depth update trailer below instead so you can see the new features for yourself, such as the infamous Wasps.
