Figure in Blue is an optional Pursuit in Dredge that players can initiate by speaking with a hooded figure on an island just east of Blackstone Isle. To complete this Pursuit, fans must bring three fish to the figure, the last of which is a Snake Mackerel. For those players that may be struggling to locate a Snake Mackerel in Dredge, this guide is here to provide assistance.

To note, the Figure in Blue Pursuit is on a timer, and players will not be able to hand over a Snake Mackerel if they take too long in procuring one. As such, fans of fishing video games that have already spoken with the blue hooded figure should make haste lest they miss out on the associated reward. It is also worth mentioning that there are several other hooded figures in Dredge, and the Pursuits that they provide must also be completed with alacrity.

Dredge: Snake Mackerel Location

The Snake Mackerel is a Coastal fish that is located within the waters of the Devil's Spine, an area that is situated in the northeast corner of the map. While this fish can be caught with a Rod, it is perhaps easier to use a basic or Improved Trawl Net. Indeed, fans of indie open-world games that deploy one of those Nets and sail in the direction the Devil's Spine are likely to capture a Snake Mackerel before they even reach the landmasses in the region.

With respect to what players will earn upon providing the hooded figure with a Snake Mackerel and completing the Figure in Blue Pursuit, the aforementioned reward is a book titled Haggling and Bartering: A Guide. Once read, this book will increase a player's sell prices by 5% and reduce their buy prices by 5%, which is a nice compliment to the bonus provided by Art of the Silver Tongue. That said, it is certainly possible for fans of Lovecraftian video games to beat Dredge without the Haggling and Bartering bonus, as money is not in short supply.

Indeed, players can fill their coffers fairly quickly simply by selling fish at Fish Markets and dredging for trinkets. Nets and Crab Pots can also be used to create additional revenue streams that require minimal maintenance, and fans are advised to keep that equipment deployed as much as possible. Players that follow that advice should find that they have quite a lot of cash at hand, and they can use it to purchase upgrades for their ships, equipment, and even Refined Metal in Dredge.

Dredge is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
