A Genshin Impact fan has shared a set of screenshots that shows unusual interaction between Paimon and the Anemo Archon Venti. Paimon is the most popular character in the game alongside Aether and Lumine. She is the Traveler's companion that helps them in their journey to find their long-lost sibling.
Even though she has by far the highest number of dialog lines in the game, there is not a lot of information about this mysterious creature. Over the last couple of months, Genshin Impact fans came up with multiple theories about Paimon, most of which are pretty dark.
A Reddit user by the name shoujomujo has shared a set of screenshots that reveal an interesting detail about Paimon's relationship with Venti that many players might have missed. Paimon seems to always be surprised whenever Venti appears on the screen, even though he is one of the most important characters in the game. While some fans claim that this is just a running gag, similar to Paimon being emergency food, others claim that it could be symbolically hinting at a much more serious conflict between the two in the future. One of the most popular theories about Paimon is that she could be related to the unknown god, better known as the "Sustainer of Heavenly Principles" that appeared in the game's first cutscene.
The unknown god is responsible for the separation between Aether and Lumine, and she's expected to be one of the end-game bosses. While Paimon has a completely different model, the two characters share a similar color theme. Another theory about Paimon is that she could be one of the three Moon Sisters, Aria, Canon, and Sonnet, who are rumored to be the three oldest beings in the world of Teyvat.
The theory was started in a recent world quest when an NPC named Arama referred to Paimon as "a silver being just like the moon and the sky" Venti is one of the seven Genshin Impact Archons whose main job is to protect the Mondstadt region. Just like any other Archon in the game, he is extremely powerful on the field and his kit allows him to fit multiple team compositions.
The fact that he's an Anemo character means that his Swirl cannot interfere with other elemental reactions. Mondstadt's Archon could make a re-appearance in the upcoming months as recent Genshin Impact leaks revealed that the Anemo region could soon receive an expansion.
