It would seem that Destiny 2's misfortune with bugs has finally caught up with its PvP aspect, as players have discovered an issue with a Hunter Exotic Armor causing a specific ability to one-shot opponents inside the Crucible. While Destiny 2 is no stranger to bugs and glitches, the problems plaguing the game after Lightfall's launch have been numerous. Most bugs discovered during the early stages of the expansion, like an Exotic weapon from Destiny 2's earlier days causing massive damage, have been fixed, yet more seem to pop up every day, leading many players to be concerned about the game's future.

The Lightfall expansion has been a hotbed of controversies since its launch, with opinions on the awkward narrative directions and the shoehorned nature of Strand's introductions being the first to be discussed by the community. The conversations quickly shifted as several game-breaking bugs got discovered, as players began interacting with the updated sandbox. The PvP landscape would not be exempt, as Destiny 2 players started to abuse an interaction between the Dynamo and Reaper Armor mods for generating Orbs of Power. Bungie responded quickly by disabling the misbehaving mods until it could rectify the issue.

Hynra, a popular Destiny 2 YouTuber, has posted a video of themselves using Khepri's Sting Exotic Arms to one-shot another player with the Smoke Bomb ability of Void Hunters. The video showcases the player using Khepri's Sting-empowered Smoke Bomb to kill another player standing inside a Ward of Dawn and using a Glaive's shield for extra defensive capabilities. The player notes that the lethality of this ability is related to the frame rate of the enemy, an interaction already causing plenty of other issues in Destiny 2.

The video goes on to showcase how the Exotic is leading other aspects of the Smoke Bomb to malfunction as well. Bungie reworked Khepri's Sting for Lightfall and enabled Smoke Bomb to grant Truesight only when it damaged enemies and not as a proximity-based trap. However, Hynra's video demonstrates how players can hit their teammates or even manually shoot the Shadow Bomb with a teammate standing next to it to proc Truesight. The video paints a dire picture for Hunters using this Exotic, as it is bound to share the same fate of other bugged Exotic Destiny 2 Armors.

The Crucible has been enjoying a wave of positivity thanks to Trials of Osiris introducing one of the strongest weapons in Destiny 2's current sandbox. With a new mid-season update slated for further changes to the PvP landscape, players can expect Bungie to fix such bugs to ensure a smooth experience.

Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
