One of the questions that most players have is its availability on a few specific consoles, such as the Xbox One. If you’re a previous generation Microsoft console user and you’re wondering about its compatibility with your system, then you’ve come to the right place.

Here’s what we know about the game’s playability on the Xbox One.

Is Diablo 4 coming to Xbox One?

Blizzard has not forgotten previous generation consoles as Diablo 4 will indeed be playable on the Xbox One. It will also be available on a variety of other systems including the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the PC.

Keep in mind, though, that since Diablo 4 is online only, console players will need to be subscribed to their specific subscription service to play it. This means Xbox users will have to pay for Xbox Live Gold while PlayStation players must be subscribed to PlayStation Plus.

The good news is that the game will have cross-platform play available upon release. This means you won’t have to get it on the same system as your friends just to play with them. Players will also be happy to know that Diablo 4 also has a cross-progression feature so no user will be restricted to one system only.

Alas, it unfortunately cannot be played on the Switch as the developers have seemingly excluded it from the list of compatible platforms. However, it could potentially be ported to the beloved handheld console at some point since the game’s predecessor, Diablo 3, is available on the portable gaming machine.
