The Resident Evil 4 Remake is upon us, with survival horror fans getting stuck in – quite literally – to the gore and horror that awaits in the latest installment of the storied franchise.

As is the case with most AAA games these days however, some players are wondering if they’ll be able to play via subscription services.

With Xbox Game Pass being one of the most popular, its user base naturally wants to know if the revamped title is going to be available on it. Luckily, we’re here to provide the answer you’ve been looking for so you’ll be prepared ahead of its launch.

Is Resident Evil 4 Remake going to be on Xbox Game Pass?

Unfortunately, Resident Evil 4 Remake will not be on Xbox Game Pass at launch as it is not a first-party Xbox title.

Most day one launches on the Microsoft platform are often exclusives, and since RE4 Remake will also be available on PlayStation, it stands to reason that it won’t be playable through the subscription service.

With that said, it could still eventually be included with the service at some point in the future just like another Capcom title in Monster Hunter Rise. However, those waiting for its release may have to be patient for a long time since it took nearly a year for it to be released on the Microsoft platform.

Those that want to play the critically acclaimed modernized entry will only be able to do so by purchasing the full game on compatible consoles. This includes both previous and current gen systems like the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

Sadly, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch players won’t be able to join in on the villager-bashing fun as these platforms aren’t compatible with the game.
