By the time fans reach Ouranos Island in Sonic Frontiers, they should be accustomed to the stepping puzzles that are scattered all throughout the game. These puzzles can be rather tricky as they require players to step on each tile one at a time in a single line without going diagonally or touching any spaces that aren't lit up.

Tucked away in the far corners of Ouranos Island is one of these tile Island Challenges that aims to be the ultimate test for the players who have solved them thus far. Almost all the tiles are lit, and only one square is used as the starting point. This guide will tell players how to solve the M-104 Island Challenge puzzle in Sonic Frontiers.

Where to Find M-104 in Sonic Frontiers

M-104 can be found northwest of Hermit Koco and the Chaos Emerald vault that holds the red Emerald. It sits next to a small lake that's surrounded by jump ramps and other platforming pieces that players can use to find Memory Tokens for Sage, the "friend" of Ouranos Island. M-104 is rather in the open compared to other puzzles, apart from being found on the farthest reaches of the island, so the real difficulty lies in the challenge itself.

One of the bigger tips that may have helped players with the previous tile puzzles is the idea of working around the puzzle like it's a game of Snake. M-104 is the best test and example of this, as the player will constantly be changing sides to finish the challenge.

The steps players need to take are as follows: one tile to the right, 2 tiles down, 1 tile to the far right corner, upwards for 3 tiles, left, up, right, then up again for 1 tile each, then to the left for 2 tiles, then down and then left again. Head up for 1 tile, go left for 2 tiles after that, head down for 1 tile, turn right for 1 more, then down, left for 1, then down again. Turn right once more. Once there, go down for 1 more tile, left, then down one last time, head right for two more tiles, and then finally head up to step on the last remaining tile and finish the challenge.

Solving this puzzle will bring fans closer to the Ouranos Island Explorer trophy, if not assist fans in navigating the island in search of items in order to progress. This may come in handy for later, as some fans may need to explore the final island a bit more once Sonic Frontiers' post-launch DLC releases throughout 2023.

Sonic Frontiers is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
