Each week, we scour the internet for all things indie MMO-related, so you don’t have to. This week, Gloria Victis crosses the starting line, multiple MMOs announce test dates, and your favorite indie MMOs ask you to be their Valentine. Plenty of other stuff is also going on, so let’s quit wasting time and get started with this week’s Indie MMO Spotlight.

BitCraft

Many of BitCraft’s weekly Twitter vignettes have forests or plains as their backdrop. Tuesday’s theme was a little sandier.

BRITARIA

Britaria is trying to gain more traction on Twitter by creating a new account that flushes out all of the old, inactive followers. The new account is PlayBritaria.

Broken Ranks

You are invited to a Valentine’s Day celebration in Broken Ranks. Running from February 14-21, you can kick off the event by talking to the administrator of de Vries Estate. Only one character per account can take part, so choose wisely.

Chimeraland

Thursday’s update brought with it some new Mirage Realm content and Exalted Attendants. Mirage: Crazed includes six illusions, each having five challenge difficulties. You can also access the new Dinosaur Secret Realm through Mirage Realm: Ancient Mountain of Dire. As for Exalted Attendants, Kumiho and Medusa now have an Exalted form that is unlocked through the use of a Starfall Stone.

The Cycle: Frontier

Yager Development has taken a strong stance against cheating in The Cycle since day one. A new blog post reviews the work the team has done to fight cheating over the last year.

The Day Before

If you were wondering how Fntastic is taking the wave of criticism after the release of their new gameplay trailer, a recent tweet says it all.

Dual Universe

Update 1.3 is almost ready to hit the PTS. The next test session will run February 10-13, giving players a chance to check out the new Maintenance Units and other goodies that will be coming to the live server soon.

Elethor

Elethor v33 will go live on Monday, February 13th. The full patch notes should be posted at that time.

Embers Adrift

Just shy of four months after release, three players finally hit max level with their characters. Each character received a unique title based on their character class, leaving six more titles up for grabs as the remaining classes push to reach level 50. There was also a new patch released this week, fixing multiple bugs.

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore

Ethyrial: Echoes of Yore made Steven Weber’s short list of RPGs you should wishlist from Steam’s NextFest in this week’s edition of One Good Roll.

Galaxies of Eden

GoE is currently running a walking and talking mini-test. If you already participated in a previous test, you are all set to join the current test. If you are new to GoE and want to see what is all about, you can get a key code on the game’s Discord channel.

Genfanad

This week’s update adds more bank space and a new quest, Fowl Play.

Gloria Victis

What happens when your game goes from having 600 concurrent players to almost 2700? Things break, that’s what. Gloria Victis officially left Early Access on Tuesday, and the flood of new players were met with several bugs and server issues. The team has been working furiously to resolve the issues, and the biggest problem, the Firewall Issue, was resolved on Friday.

If you are interested in Gloria Victis but haven’t pulled the trigger yet, it is on sale for $9.99 through Tuesday, February 14th. There is also a Release FAQ that can answer any of your questions, and be sure to watch the release trailer below.
