Fire Emblem Engage continues the feature of support conversations between the characters that make up the roster the player is able to use to complete chapters. However, unlike past Fire Emblem games, these supports unless it's the main character, don't make a difference in the combat, though this doesn't stop them from being interesting.

With so many characters available for the player to get to know, each unit has a select few other units they can have conversation with once their support rating between them has been boosted. There are so many intriguing conversations to listen in on from being hilarious to thought-provoking and therefore, these are by far the best conversations player's should listen to.

8 Celine And Jean – Tea Does Save Lives

Jean is a resident of the kingdom of Firene, this is also the kingdom that Celine's mother is the queen of. Besides both sharing this similarity, their conversations stem from Celine's love of tea and how Jean's mother grows tea leaves which turn out to be Celine's favorite.

Additionally, their conversation discusses why Jean would rather follow in his father's footsteps of becoming a doctor instead of growing tea, and it turns out that he believe that this warm beverage can't save lives. It's down to Celine to prove that it can especially when Jean is struggling in his studies to improve his knowledge in medicine.

7 Panette And Yunaka – Relatable Mystery

It wouldn't be a Fire Emblem title without the mysterious characters that players can learn more about through their support conversations with others around the Somniel. Panette and Yunaka are both women that come from mysterious lives that understand one another through their relatable lived experiences.

Panette troubled family life combined with the secret assassin past of Yunaka makes for a pair of incredibly hardcore women that could take on anything together. They gradually open up to one another knowing that it's important to share the skeletons in the closet once in a while.

6 Amber And Merrin – Clumsy And Funny

Players that are hoping to step away from the incredibly serious dialogue that they may find from other supports should look no further than the clumsy and alpaca loving knight of Brodia known as Amber.

Apart from wishing to become a legend one day his support conversations with fellow animal lover Merrin presents how seriously Amber takes his role as a knight as well as wishing he wasn't so clumsy. Merrin helps Amber realize that not everything he does is clumsy or just lucky as she helps him to see the actual effort he has put in.

5 Alfred And Boucheron – The Secret To Muscles

Poor Boucheron's support conversations mainly revolve around his large size and how he could possibly be so buff without working out all the time. Alfred, the prince of Firene, is another culprit of asking his royal retainer this question.

The crowned prince of Firene takes initiative to find out how Boucheron could possibly be this strong and therefore mainly follows him around during their conversations. However, in the end he just prefers being with Boucheron as they haven't had much time recently to simply hang out like friends like they used to.

4 Pandreo And Alear – A Party Of Importance

All of Alear's support dialogues across all the characters available to recruit are incredibly hilarious as well as deeply thought out depending on whom the main character is talking to. One such great example of support with Alear is Pandreo, the partying priest.

While persuading the Divine Dragon to come to one of his parties, he manages to show them the importance they actually have on the people that worship them. Alear has always been put on a pedestal by the people that follow them but thus shows the light they give the people of Fire Emblem Engage.

3 Clanne And Framme – The Divine Dragon Fan Club

One of the first supports players are likely to complete is by far one of the funniest in the game as well as opening the player's eyes further to the siblings of Clanne and Framme. Both the co-owners of the much adored Divine Dragon fan club, they decide that they need to spread the word of their fan club further now Alear has woken since their rest of a thousand years.

The support conversations between the retainer of Elusia, Rosado and the retainer of Firene Louie, shows the wholesome connection between the two as their start to form a friendship. It's by far one of the most straightforward conversations in the entirety of Fire Emblem Engage, but this just adds to its appeal.

By the final support conversation they are officially close friends and Rosado wishes to make it permanent by drawing a picture of them together. Watching this friendship grow throughout the chapters of Fire Emblem Engage really makes the player feel involved in bringing people together.

1 Hortensia And Ivy – Half-Sisters Bonding

Ivy and Hortensia may share a father, but they actually have different mothers. This was quite an issue while they were growing up especially for Hortensia's mother who had to survive the intrigue and gossip of the castle as their father had many women.

Hortensia hardly remembers her mother due to her dying when she was seven. This leads their conversations to talk about her and the sort of woman she was. They bond over talking about her and how Ivy looks up to Hortensia or is becoming just like her mother, it's a very loving and heart-warming conversation to listen in on.
