Xbox Game Pass has had a pretty strong start to the year, with it ending the month of January with three new additions: Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition, Inkulinati, and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure All-Star Battle R. Each of these titles is completely different from the other, with one being a real-time strategy game, one being an ink-oriented casual turn-based game, and the last being a fighting game. In other words, there should be something for everyone.

However, as many Xbox Game Pass users know, the last day of the month also features those leaving the service. While these three games are coming, the following are going: Donut County, Taiko no Tatsujin, Telling Lies, and Worms W.M.D. The fact that there are only four games leaving and not of them are really "major" games is likely a welcome factor this month too.

Either way, Age of Empires 2 is available via console and cloud Game Pass, Inkulinati via console and PC Game Pass, and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure is available across all three platforms: console, cloud, and PC. Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition has been praised for how it controls on consoles, as well as the general improvements made to the RTS game. Meanwhile, Inkulinati is an indie gem with some historical flavor that Pentiment fans may enjoy, and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure All-Star Battle R has the fighting game pedigree of CyberConnect2 backing it.

  • Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition - console and cloud
  • Inkulinati - console and PC
  • JoJo's Bizzare Adventure All-Star Battle R - console, cloud, and PC

Perhaps the best thing about Xbox Game Pass is there's always something to look forward to. For example, Xbox Game Pass already has four games confirmed for February too, which include Hot Wheels Unleashed - Game of the Year Edition for console, cloud, and PC; Darkest Dungeon on February 2 for console, cloud, and PC; Grid Legends on February 2 for cloud; and finally, Atomic Heart on February 21 for console, cloud, and PC.

Of course, should Xbox Game Pass get back to its usual announcement cadence soon, fans will know what else will fill in those gaps. It's hard to say for sure right now, but fans can probably expect another big month for the subscription service.

Xbox Game Pass users get a handful of games every month.
