Xbox Free Games with Gold for February 2023 have been revealed, and they include For the King and Guts N Goals. They will be following the Xbox Free Games with Gold for January 2023, which include Iris Fall until January 31 and Autonauts from January 16-February 15.

As many fans know, one game is available from Xbox Games with Gold at the start of the month until the end and the other enters midway and leaves midway. Based on the new announcement, For the King will be replacing Iris Fall, as it'll be available from February 1 to February 28, and Guts N Goals will follow Autonauts and be available from February 16 to March 15.

In For the King, the kingdom falls into chaos as the king has been murdered, with a makeshift band having to save the land. It features single-player and local or online co-op, as players engage in turn-based combat to fight and explore, all to solve the mystery of the king's murder. At times, For the King feels like a Dungeons and Dragons campaign turned video game as the tabletop influences and elements are obvious to anyone familiar with the genre.

When Autonauts departs and Guts N Goals is added to the service, fans can expect a wild soccer game. This arcade-style soccer game features 30 different playable heroes, all with their own character skills, and random mutators change the game too. There are plenty of mini-games, no penalties, crazy stadiums with unique mechanics, and more to make one of the wildest soccer games to ever hit the market.

Xbox Games with Gold is often looked over for Xbox Game Pass, as the former includes two free games for next month, but the latter offers tons of new additions at a cheap subscription cost. For example, Xbox Game Pass is adding four games between January 30 and January 31, with four also already confirmed for February. No matter what though, with subscription services like Xbox Game Pass and PS Plus adding these huge libraries of games, it shows how a lot of services like Games with Gold are outdated.

However, while rumors once suggested Microsoft would end the Xbox Games with Gold program, it does seem intended to support it for some time to come. It's hard to say how long, but either way, fans will be able to check out a couple of new games next month.
