MW2 has had a plethora of glaring issues since launch that the community has been complaining about for the same amount of time. With the arrival of Season 2, however, Infinity Ward has apparently resolved most of them, although some still do remain unaddressed.

Now, it seems that the community is frustrated about the developers decision to remove third person playlists in multiplayer. The main reason for their collective disappointment is that some users had evidently purchased the game mainly because of the third person match types that it offered.

As has often been the norm, these players have now taken to Reddit to voice their growing discontent with the state of the game. One post in particular, created by u/LeoSosa, was especially annoyed, saying that “I can’t stand the fact that they removed third person from multiplayer. They literally sold the game advertising for the return of third person gameplay and me and other people based out decision to buy it on that too.”

Those commenting under the same thread echoed the post creator’s thoughts, with most having bought it for the same reasons. Even though third person game modes hadn’t quite been popular with MW2’s entire player base, the decision to exclude it does come as a bit of a surprise since plenty of people are still looking to play it.

It remains to be seen whether or not Infinity Ward plan on reintroducing these match types to the game. But with the arrival of Season 2 now closer than ever, we should start receiving more news about their plans for the upcoming season. Hopefully, this includes reinstating some of the third person game modes that plenty of users have come to enjoy.
