A recent Genshin Impact chart has revealed the difference in sales between the characters Ayato and Raiden Shogun. Both characters were featured in the previous Limited Character Banner that arrived as part of update 3.3. Many players had been eagerly awaiting Raiden Shogun's return and saved their Primogems specifically to pull for her. On the other hand, Ayato did not have the same level of hype surrounding his re-run.

The first banner of Genshin Impact update 3.3 introduced one of the most highly-anticipated characters in the game, the 6th Harbinger named Wanderer. However, it seems that many players were more interested in obtaining Raiden Shogun. Players who want to get Ayato or Raiden will, unfortunately, have to wait for a couple of months as their double banner already expired.

Reddit user TimocaSamJa has shared an interesting chart that shows the drastic revenue difference between Ayato and Raiden Shogun. According to the chart, Raiden Shogun was responsible for over 81% of the overall sales which is impressive considering that this is her 3rd banner appearance. Recent revenue reports have revealed that this double banner even managed to break Genshin Impact's overall revenue record, surpassing Nahida and Yoimiya. Three of the five most successful banners in the game have featured the Electro Archon that watches over Inazuma.

Since her release back in update 2.1, Raiden Shogun has always been considered one of, if not the strongest Genshin Impact character in the whole roster. Her ability to adapt to almost every team composition can hardly be matched by any other character in the game and she can also fill multiple roles within a team composition, from being the main DPS to serving as a battery support.

Recent data from the Spiral Abyss suggests that the "Raiden National" party composition is very effective for the 12th floor of the game's toughest domain. She is also a very free-to-play friendly character which means that players don't need to invest tons of resources into her constellations or weapon.

Even though the Engulfing Lightning is Raiden's signature weapon, the Electro Archon can also do well when equipped with another polearm called The Catch, which is obtainable for free. Kamisato Ayato, the second character mentioned, has also been successful in terms of sales and is a Hydro-element user who can fill the sub-DPS role.

Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
