A gamer has taken to the internet to show off their fresh ink inspired by God of War Ragnarok. The impressively well-done tattoo is a fantastic tribute, which highlights the level of passion God of War Ragnarok has instilled in its biggest fans.

User Adorable_Olive_9991 took to Reddit to share their newest tattoo. Done in a realism style, Kratos' deadly weapons the Leviathan Axe and the Blades of Chaos are on fine display. The wrought iron chains of the Blades of Chaos wrap around the handle of the Leviathan axe as the runic blades of both weapons glow in fiery red and frigid blue respectively. The decent-sized piece wraps around Adorable_Olive_9991's forearm. The bright colors of the aura-emanating blades give a stark contrast to the tattoo, as the hilts, chains, and handles are all done in well-shaded black and white.

As far as video game tattoos go, making one set in the God of War universe is especially apt, given the important role that tattoos play in the game. Tattoos also remain prevalent across Norse mythology and some Nordic cultures, with a myriad of complex meanings and religious connotations. Adorable_Olive_9991 is not the first mega fan to emblazon God of War Ragnarok's weapons on their body, with plenty of examples shared across the internet. With nearly every major character in God of War Ragnarok sporting some form of runic ink, there is a massive well of inspiration to draw from for the many tattoos that are sure to come in the future.

God of War Ragnarok and its predecessor, 2018's God of War, have inspired millions with their epic, pantheon-spanning storytelling, jaw-dropping set pieces, and well-oiled gameplay mechanics. What comes next for Sony Santa Monica's flagship franchise is unknown, but one certainty is that this is far from the last God of War tattoo that will grace the front page of the internet.

God of War Ragnarok is available now on PS4 and PS5.
