With its arrival now closer than ever, franchise fans and RPG enthusiasts in general are now asking various questions ahead of its launch. One particular aspect that players are curious about is whether the game is going to be single or multiplayer. If you want to know what you can expect with Capcom’s popular title, then we’ve written down all you’ll need to know below.

Can you play Monster Hunter Rise in single or multiplayer?

You will be able to play Monster Hunter Rise in both single and multiplayer. The game’s story mode is primarily focused on a solo experience with Village Quests taking up the bulk of your time during your stay at Kamura Village. However, it will also have a multiplayer feature wherein you’ll be able to party up either with your friends or other users within the world of MH.

Keep in mind, though, that you’ll only be able to discover certain items and resources within the game through its solo missions. For this reason, we recommend finishing the story first before switching over to the multiplayer aspect of MH Rise. However, if you prefer partying up with other people when hunting monsters, you can always choose to postpone your single-player tasks.

It’s also worth noting that you will still be able to attempt multiplayer missions, called Hub Quests, while playing solo. Although it will be incredibly challenging, it will still be possible to accomplish them as its difficulty scales depending on how many party members you have. To start one of these objectives, you’ll simply have to talk to Minoto, the Hub Maiden.
