A Genshin Impact fan has shared two concepts in which they combine Yae Miko and Hu Tao with Raiden and Shenhe. The game's story revolves around its playable characters whose design often inspires fans to create their own art pieces. One of the featured characters, Raiden Shogun, is currently part of the ongoing double banner alongside the Hydro sword user Kamisato Ayato.
Players who want to acquire either of these characters don't have a lot of time to do so as their banner is scheduled to expire on January 17. The recent live stream event for Genshin Impact update 3.4 has confirmed that a new character named Alhaitham and the Anemo user Xiao will take their place as the limited five-star characters.
A new post on Genshin Impact's official subreddit shows two interesting concepts that combine different characters from the playable roster. Reddit user paperstraws_ is known in the community for creating similar types of projects that always get a lot of attention. The first concept combines the Electro user Yae Miko with Hu Tao who is known as the 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor. The concept features Hu Tao's overall color theme and Yae Miko's base model. After more than a year, developer HoYoverse finally decided to give the Pyro user Hu Tao her second banner re-run. Her last appearance was during update 2.2 which dropped on November 2, 2021.
According to the recent live stream event, Hu Tao will play a significant role in the upcoming Lantern Rite Festival which is an annual Genshin Impact event that celebrates the Chinese New Year. She will be placed on the second banner cycle alongside another five-star character named Yelan. Players who want to get Yae Miko will have to wait for a couple of months since she was recently featured in version 3.2.
The second concept combines the Electro Archon Raiden Shogun with Liyue's Cryo polearm user Shenhe. Raiden Shogun is one of, if not the most popular character in Genshin Impact which was proven by the recent revenue reports for her current re-run. Many players consider her a must-have character since she can fit almost any type of team comp in the game.
Unlike Raiden, Shenhe is a niche Genshin Impact character whose kit revolves around having as many Cryo characters around her as possible. Even though she was released at the start of 2022, HoYoverse is yet to give Shenhe her first banner re-run.
Genshin Impact is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is in development.
