Warzone 2 has had a recent influx of noticeable issues that are making its players increasingly exasperated with the game. Significant issues such as innocent players getting shadowbanned or an overpowered perk that somehow acts as a UAV are just some of the latest dilemmas that the community has had to face.

Now, it seems that another glaring problem has surfaced in the form of loadout drop markers and pings vanishing too quickly from the mini map. A recently created Reddit thread sums up the experience of all battle royale players that have unfortunately had to undergo this frustrating phenomenon.
Based on the poster’s statements, loadout markers are now disappearing within 10 seconds of landing. Deciding to ping one in a game also doesn’t seem to help as your indicator will fade immediately if you get sidetracked for a few minutes.
What’s even more puzzling is that these markers apparently remain permanently visible for players that respawn back into a match. Commenters under the same post also seem to have noticed this recent trend of markers vanishing quickly in-game.

One response had this to say about the current issue: “It’s a theme for the game that we simply haven’t been given the information for how things are supposed to work.” They then go on to state that players haven’t been given any idea as to how specific in-game features are meant to function. This often leads to users becoming confused when trying to figure out whether a mechanic is working as intended or if it’s a bug.
The persistent lack of communication from the developers, which has been a common theme through the game’s release, also hasn’t helped. Because of this, players have had no choice but to turn to social media to vent their growing frustrations with the battle royale.
