One of the easiest ways to earn powerful weapons in Warzone 2 is through Loadout Drops. In the previous battle royale entry, players could obtain these through both Buy Stations and from random drops throughout the map. But are they still available for sale in the current iteration of the game? Here’s what we know.

Can You Buy Loadout Drops in Warzone 2?

The answer is yes! This major change took place on December 20th, 2022 and served as a holiday gift for the Warzone 2 Community from Raven Software and Infinity Ward.

Prior to December 20th, Loadout Drop Grenades were not available to purchase from buy stations in Warzone 2, which made it difficult to secure them.

However, in addition to the random drops that occur around the map during every second and sixth circle collapse, players can now purchase a Loadout Drop Grenade from any buy station on Al Mazrah. We cover all the details and prices of the new Warzone 2 Loadout Drop Grenades here.

Once you secure your loadout, you’ll be able to secure one of your classes. This includes Primary and Secondary weapons, Lethal and Tactical Equipment, and a pre-made set of four perks.

Moreover, you can also purchase your primary weapon from one of your own in-game loadouts through Buy Stations. It is moderately expensive, though, as you’ll need to spend $2500 to obtain one from this source. If you decide to get one, it does put you at an advantage as you’ll be playing with a weapon that you’re used to as opposed to just picking up a random one.

You’ll also be able to gain even better equipment by clearing the new structural additions in the game called Strongholds. If your group was the first to clear a Stronghold, your team will be able to enter a Black Site. These are buildings which contain rarer loot but contain even more difficult enemies.
