Sports Story developer Sidebar Games reveal what will be included in the game's upcoming patch. The update will address many of the widely known problems that plague Sports Story.

Sports Story launched in December and was a follow-up to the highly acclaimed Golf Story, which released all the way back in 2017 and even to this day is regarded as a must-play for Nintendo Switch owners. Sports Story, on the other hand, has not received the same reception, with many players discovering that, while there is a fun game to be played, the game is plagued with many bugs, both minor and major. Overall, this has resulted in the launch for Sports Story not being as solid as the player base had hoped; however, Sidebar Games is hard at work trying to make the game the best experience possible for the players.

The new patch will be fixing a number of things, such as general performance issues, issues in the golfing aspect of the game, and a huge problem players had where their character would just get stuck randomly. Furthermore, by diving deeper and addressing more specific features, the silver mines return glitch that would make the player become stuck after returning to the silver mines on the mine cart will be fixed. The Chase trade bug, which would not allow the player to trade with Chase if their character didn't have more than $3 in your possession, will be fixed, as they have plagued Sports Story since its launch on the Nintendo Switch.

Many more major bugs will also be addressed, such as the Catching Bees problem, the Returning to the Dark Whispers glitch, the Tennis Academy errors, and the Impressing Kelly Gibbons glitch. Sports Story has launched in a bad state, and many of its player base claim it's one of the most disappointing games of 2022 due to the current technological state of the game.

It's clear from Sidebar Games' constant updates and patches that it wants to make Sports Story a better overall experience for its players. Furthermore, the company are frequently updating fans on Twitter and even allowing fans the feature to email them feedback and suggestions on new features they want and glitches that are in the game that need to be addressed.

Many have recommended going back to Golf Story and waiting before jumping into Sports Story until it's fully fixed. However, the player base has noted that despite all these technical issues and problems, the game is a very fun and enjoyable experience, and underneath all the bugs, there's a great game for players to enjoy.

Sports Story is available for the Nintendo Switch.
