Proving the No Man's Sky community is awash with many talented individuals, one player has decided to build Star Trek's iconic USS Enterprise, with impressive results. What some may describe as a space opera video game, Hello Games' 2016 open-world sci-fi release has had an interesting journey. Being one of the most hyped-up titles of its generation, No Man's Sky also became one of the most controversial launches in gaming history. That is, until the studio turned things around and managed to make it a beloved game.

Along with others, No Man's Sky will be compatible with the PlayStation VR2 headset when the hardware comes out this year, which will make space exploration in the game even more immersive than it already is. One of the things about the title is not just the mind-bogglingly immense universe that players can fly around in or its procedurally generated planets teeming with flora and fauna, but the building mechanics that afford players even more hours of gameplay. As can be imagined, many fans have taken it upon themselves to create some impressive structures.

Take Reddit user CaptainKlaus_ as an example. In a recent post, they show a number of images from their No Man's Sky playthrough, which display a pretty spectacular recreation of the USS Enterprise. In the comments, the creator goes on to say they built it in 3,000 parts "exactly," but had to leave the interior empty. They also kindly provided coordinates to the ship for anyone who decides they want to check it out. Players can find this iteration of the Enterprise in Euclid at +39.64, -75.01.

Star Trek's USS Enterprise is undoubtedly one of the franchise's most famous assets, commanded by some of popular culture's most well-known captains, including Kirk and Picard. For someone to recreate the entire ship in a game like No Man's Sky shows not only the love CaptainKlaus_ has for both the game and the classic sci-fi TV series, but also how much talent is out there in the gaming world.

No Man's Sky may have had a very shaky start when it launched several years ago, but there can be no doubt that Hello Games has had quite the redemption arc. The British team made amends by fixing up major issues with the game and offering a plethora of free DLC, and now the space exploration title has a dedicated following that continues to build and discover new worlds.

No Man's Sky is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
