The codes reset weekly. Specifically, you will get a new set of codes on Monday at 4pm PT / 7pm ET / 12am UTC. At this time, you will need to look up a new set of codes if you and your friends want to launch a nuke and cover the wasteland in more radioactive fallout.

Where to input the launch codes in Fallout 76

As previously mentioned, you will only need to choose one of the codes to enter at a particular silo. However, the specific code will only work with the silo it’s connected to. For instance, each Alpha code will only function at the Alpha silo.

You’ll also need to use one Nuclear Keycard to launch a Nuke. These particular items can be acquired through the ‘Hide and Seek and Destroy’ repeatable quest which tasks you with hunting down a certain cargobot for the Enclave. Once you’ve found the automaton, you will have to shoot it down after which it will drop the keycard you’re looking for. You can also get Nuclear Keycards from the Atomic Shop where Bethesda sometimes hands out free cards.

On top of this, you will need the letter/number combinations from items dropped by Feral Ghoul Officers around the map. This will get you the codes listed above. The codes can be deciphered in Whitespring Bunker. You will first complete this task during the main story which will then start the I am Become Death quest.

What does launching a nuke do in Fallout 76?

Launching a nuke causes extreme radiation to envelope an area, mutating the creatures in the nuke site into high-level enemies. This makes the creatures and fauna much deadlier but it also makes them drop better loot. The blast zone will be marked on the map to show players where the nuclear missiles hit. Those who enter the aftermath area will need to wear a radiation suit or power armor to survive. They will also need to watch out for high-level scorched enemies and other monsters.
