World of Warcraft has hidden an adorable secret inside one of the new dungeons in Dragonflight. A hilarious little gnoll NPC found within the Brackenhide Hollow dungeon in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has a secret interaction that has been delighting players who discover it.

Brackenhide Hollow is one of the new dungeons added in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. Located in the Azure Span zone in Dragonflight, this gnoll settlement has been corrupted by Decay magic, which players must burn out before it rots away the local ecosystem.

Before players encounter Decatriarch Wratheye, the end boss of the Brackenhide Hollow dungeon in Dragonflight, a curious friendly NPC makes an appearance. A red-furred baby gnoll named Bloodthirsty Cub appears and cheers on the players. The enthusiastic child compliments players on their fighting skills before asking for a high five. If players do so in time, he screams in joy and runs around in circles three times before disappearing. However, if players leave him hanging, he breaks down into tears and runs away.

The gnolls of the Azure Span have garnered a great deal of attention from many players. They received a fantastic model upgrade in Dragonflight, and players have enjoyed seeing different sides of the hyena-like humanoids in the expansion. The inclusion of baby gnoll models has especially charmed players, and those who have encountered the likes of Scaps, the lost gnoll cub who is taken in by a group of Iskaara tuskarr children in Dragonflight, have fallen in love with the little guys.

Needless to say, this adorable discovery has become an important mechanic that must be completed every run of the Brackenhide Hollow for many players, even though the encounter is not attached to any mechanics or achievements. With so much great gnoll content in Dragonflight, many World of Warcraft players hope they will become an allied race in the future.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight has received excellent reviews from players so far in no small part due to cute moments like this. As players travel across the Dragon Isles, they can save woodland creatures from rampaging elementals, help fix up a baby dragon’s duck plushie, and even help reunite two dragon-frog husbands named Beef and Wellington after they are separated.

The expansion is not perfect–lukewarm reception of Battle for Azeroth and Shadowlands has prevented the World of Warcraft expansion from breaking player records, and some overtuned dungeons in the Dragonflight endgame have caused some problems for players. Nevertheless, if World of Warcraft continues to improve in the ways it has recently, Dragonflight could go down as the best World of Warcraft expansion in history.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is available now for PC.
