An upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Tera Raid Event will give players an increased chance to get their hands on Delibird, a Pokemon synonymous with the Christmas season. Throughout the event, Delibird will be more likely to appear in Tera Raids and will offer players the opportunity to score some rare rewards in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.Tera Raids are an important mechanic within the latest set of Pokemon titles, being the primary source of multiplayer action within the games. While recently announced events such as the seven-star Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Cinderace Tera Raid Event have placed particular emphasis upon providing players with difficult battles in return for rare rewards, the Delibird Tera Raid Event seems to be more concerned with spreading Christmas cheer during the festive season.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Player Fixes Top Champion Geeta's Weak TeamFrom December 23, at 00:00 UTC to 23:59 UTC on December 25, Delibird will have a higher chance to appear in Tera Raids throughout Paldea, though it will be unable to appear in raids above a five-star difficulty level. Unlike the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Charizard Tera Raid Event, Delibird will be able to come in any of the 18 available Tera types, and Delibird from three-star or higher raids may come with their hidden ability, Insomnia, which prevents the Pokemon from being put to sleep by moves such as Hypnosis.

Defeating Delibird will grant plenty of rewards, but the best will be obtained from defeating five-star Delibird raids. Doing so will grant players with various Tera Shards, which can be used to transform the Tera-types of any Pokemon obtainable in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games. Tera Shards are typically accumulated painfully slowly by completing dozens of raids scattered throughout Paldea, but this event will enable players to gather them at vastly accelerated rates. Though defeating Delibird should not be an overly difficult task due to its lackluster stat spread and moveset, players who want to farm shards as efficiently as possible should consider using new Pokemon Scarlet and Violet critter Iron Hands.

Though other rewards will likely remain unknown until the event releases worldwide, they will probably include an assortment of XP candies and other useful items, such as feathers and nuggets, that will aid players on their travels. Despite Delibird not exactly being one of the best Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Ice Types, the useful rewards it offers will make this an event many will not want to miss.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
