Hello Neighbor 2 offers two extra DLCs for players who aren’t ready to let go of the game yet and allows them further investigate Raven Brooks’ mysterious properties. For example, the town’s school in Back to School DLC and the library in Hello Neighbor 2 Late Fees DLC.
The Back to School DLC offers players a variety of additional puzzles to solve, some of which are easier to solve than others. The chemistry lab puzzle is one of them, since it doesn’t require knowledge in the science field to solve it. However, finding the riddle’s necessities is not so easy, as it needs a few items that are behind a frozen door in Hello Neighbor 2.
How To Solve Chemistry Lab Puzzle In Hello Neighbor 2 Back To School DLC
To solve the chemistry lab puzzle and obtain the backyard shed’s key in Hello Neighbor 2, players need to open the lab’s Venus Flytrap mouth. The chemistry lab is in the main school building on the second floor, guarded by The Janitor’s dog. To open the lab’s Venus Flytrap, players must obtain the potato battery and the blue and red spray cans.
How To Get The Potato Battery
The potato battery is located in the Cafeteria’s walk-in freezer. Opening it requires melting the ice surrounding the freezer door in Hello Neighbor 2, by increasing its temperature. To do so, players should collect the scattered waste bags and burn them in the Combustor located in the shed. The waste bags locations are:
First waste bag location
- Go to the theater.
- Climb to the rooftop.
- Get the orange bag.
Second waste bag location
- Go to the school’s backyard.
- Descend the stairs.
- Put the second waste bag in the item’s inventory in Hello Neighbor 2.
Third waste bag location
- Go to the art classroom located near the school's backyard door.
- Collect the third bag from the room’s desk.
Fourth waste bag location
- Ascend to the second floor.
- Go to the astrology classroom (the room with the big telescope).
- Climb the classroom’s cupboards.
- Get the orange bag.
Fifth waste bag location
- Go to the shed in the backyard.
- Head inside and descend the stairs.
- Find the Combustor in the room’s left corner.
- Collect the fifth and final waste bag in front of the Combustor.
Get the five bags from the inventory and throw them into the Combustor to fuel its fire and increase the freezer's temperature. Afterward, open the freezer in the cafeteria, then grab the potato battery from the walk-in cooler in Hello Neighbor 2 Back to School DLC. Keep in mind that burning less than five bags won’t defrost the freezer, so players should collect them all to complete this step.
How To Get The Spray Cans
The chemistry lab puzzle only needs the red and blue spray cans. The first can is found in the art classroom, while the blue one is locked behind a gate in the class next to the chemistry lab. To open the locked door and obtain the blue spray can, players need to:
- Head to the classroom with the moving board.
- Defrost the board handle.
- Get the door’s password from the board.
- Go to the second floor and unlock the door with the password (5223).
- Grab the spray can.
How To Open The Venus Flytrap Mouth In Hello Neighbor 2 Back To School DLC
Opening the Venus Flytrap mouth in Hello Neighbor 2 requires the following steps:
- Place the potato battery on the classroom desk to turn on the floor lamp.
- Get the red spray can from the inventory and spray the floor lamp facing the Venus Flytrap.
- Grab the blue spray can and spray the light again until the light turns purple.
- Get the key from the Venus Flytrap’s mouth.
It should be noted that the lab’s board has a hint that helps players in solving the chemistry lab puzzle.
Where To Use The Key
The key obtained from this puzzle is for unlocking the backyard shed next to the dogs’, which contains the green spray can. The latter is needed to complete the theater puzzle in Hello Neighbor 2 Back to School DLC.
Hello Neighbor 2 is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
