Dragonflight Season 1 is officially open in World of Warcraft. While the expansion's launch at the end of November officially started the next chapter in WoW, the Race to World First is on, the first raid is here, and there’s more to come.

Vault of the Incarnates is now open in Normal, Heroic, and Mythic. Take on the challenges within this fortress to stop Raszageth, who has brought out her siblings in an effort to purge the Titans’ influence. The Raid Finder wings will start rolling out next week through the week of January 16th.

There are eight bosses inside to challenge, so now’s the time to get started. Cross-faction Mythic Vault of the Incarnates is available from today, but if you're looking for a Hall of Fame entry, you'll need to have at least 16 out of 20 on your team from the same guild and faction. Cross-realm will be available later in the season. This also opens up the race to World First, and the latest round of Twitch Drops (netting you the Perpetual Purple Firework toy for two hours of Dragonflight stream watching on select channels).

Outside of the raid, there are also four new world bosses rolling out. They will rotate weekly, and first up is Basrikron, The Shale Wing, who is earth-based. The other elemental dragons you’ll face are Bazual, The Dreaded Flame (fire), Liskanoth, the Futurebane (ice), and Strunraan, The Sky's Misery (lightning).

For those who are looking for instances and loot, Season 1 also features a new dungeon rotation for Mythic+, with four Dragonflight dungeons included and four from previous expansions. The latest PvP season has also begun, with this season being the first to feature ranked Solo Shuffle. Get ready to gear up in some fresh loot
