It's been announced a native PS5 version of GRIS will be released next week on 13th December 2022. The game will run at a 4K resolution, utilising 120 frames-per-second. A free PS4 to PS5 upgrade has not been confirmed yet, but you can see the new version in action in the trailer above.

The laidback indie title is all about the visuals, really, with simple gameplay interactions helping you from one scene to the next. "GRIS is beautiful. From the very moment the game begins to its emotional end, you could push that Share button [Create button on PS5] at any time and have a frame-worthy screenshot, we said in our 8/10 rated review. "What makes this 2D platformer so striking and so captivating is its minimalistic visuals, using limited colours, hand-crafted animation, and breathtaking backdrops to great effect."

To run the game at 120fps, you will need a compatible TV, so check out our Best 4K TVs for PS5 in 2022 guide for more information on that front. Will you play GRIS on PS5? Let us know in the comments below.
