Gorgeous Indie Game GRIS Given PS5 Version, Runs at 4K 120fps

Love this game. Gives me a great excuse to replay it at 120fps!

Great title with a good message. Beautiful art doesn’t hurt either.

Haven’t played it, but I’m weary of games with “a message”. Could you let me know what it’s about?

Just bought it for Switch, currently on sale, haven’t played it yet. Seems to run with solid 60 fps on Switch, so this is my preferred platform for such games.

I’m not familiar with this one but it looks really nice.

@thefourfoldroot1 It’s nothing overly political or anything. Mostly about having agency over lifelong fear and being strong enough to take care of yourself.

As far as the game portion goes, it’s really just a platformer with a few bells and whistles but it looks so stunning it really doesn’t matter. If you are a person who appreciates paintings or really visual media in general it’s for you.

A very beautiful game. Highly recommend especially since I recall picking it up in a sale for next to nothing.

Ok, fair enough, looks interesting. Maybe I’ll wait for it to come to plus though; these games tend to not last very long and have little replay value for me

@Sqush-Pare The more you speak, the more insight you give. The saddest part is you're a father. I feel sorry for any kid who has to grow up in an environment where they're told what they can or can't play because their insecure dad thinks the game is alpha or beta.

This game was the the one that told me that this sort of game just isn't for me after trying to like similar titles.

Absolutely nothing against the people that love it and happy when people enjoy any game, but I'm mostly a gameplay and secondarily a narrative guy.

Imagine being so insecure and narrow brained that you can't play a game with colors in it. You will be wondering why your kids won't want anything to do with you in a few years.

@Sqush-Pare You absolute muppet, it’s a game about loss and the fact the character is a woman is 100% irrelevant, men experience loss too.

@thefourfoldroot1 GRIS is one of the best games of all time. Its one of those games you don't play, but experience.
Its about dealing with and overcoming grief and its extremely moving though open for a lot of interpretation. Not a word is spoken in the game and I cried at the end (and do everytime). I dont wanna give away too much but the art and colors play into the theme as well. Also it has one of the best soundtracks of all time.
If you never play it, you are truly missing out on something special. My friend is a family therapist and he uses it in his practice with traumatized kids too which is really cool.
