Overwatch 2 Season 6 is getting extensive overhauls to story and its premium battle pass. These updates should make training courses, the overall lore, and hero composition even more enjoyable. 

Starting Ausgust 10 the new season of Overwatch 2 brings in a fantastic new hero, story missions, loads of events old and new, as well as a new mode. All in all, it looks like Season 6 is going to be a great one.

Overwatch 2 Season 6 will launch on August 10, making the previous season the shortest one yet. Luckily, there's plenty of changes on the way, including a leaked new hero and more. We'll be sure to update this section with exact timings once we hear more.

While the new Overwatch 2 Season 6 hero has yet to be officially confirmed, it's been revealed that it will be a Support character. So far, the new character has not been detailed, so we don't yet know their name or abilities. It's likely we'll hear more in the next few days.

What else is being added in Overwatch 2 Season 6?

It's not just a new hero being added to Overwatch 2 in Season 6. The other big change comes in the form of story missions. In Overwatch 2: Invasion, you and your friends will take on three missions that take place in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Gothenberg. These each feature in-depth storylines, where you'll fight off Null Sector while completing objectives. Here's an overview on what else is coming in Season 6:

  • New co-op event: Bonus co-op mission on King's Row.
  • Flashpoint mode: PvP core game mode featuring two new locales. Fight for control of key positions called flashpoints.
  • Hero Mastery mode: Training courses specifically designed for each select hero. Global leaderboards to compete on.
  • New battle pass: New Mythic skin for Tracer
