A new season of Overwatch 2 means a lot of things, we will see a new character, a new Battle Pass but it also means we will get some changes to the pre-existing Heroes in the game too. This can range from changes to movement, increasing the amount of health a hero has and more.

After the recent deep dive into what we can expect from Season 2 of Overwatch 2, we also have a better idea of balance changes coming with the second season. Admittedly we will know much more next week when we have the patch notes, but here is everything we know so far:

What Balance Changes are Coming to Overwatch 2 Season 2?

Finally we are going to see some much needed changes to Sojourns Rail Gun. Going forward, the range on the Rail Gun will no longer be as effective from range. So you will now need to get a bit closer with her in order to do the same amount of damage. This will encourage players to rely more on her movement after the patch.

Doomfist is the other Hero who will be getting large changes as part of the new season. We don’t have too much detail about what these changes will be, but they will look to “better support his role as the team’s front line”. We are also expecting some changes to Ana, Bastion, Junker Queen, Mercy, Symmetra and Season One’s new Hero Kiriko.

When Will Season 2’s Balance Changes Release in Overwatch 2?

We are expecting all the new content for Season 2 of Overwatch 2, including the balance changes, to arrive on the 6th of December.
