Hamster will commemorate 300 weeks of consecutive releases in its Arcade Archives and ACA NeoGeo series with the release of two special titles: Galaxian on 24th November and Tetris: The Grand Master on 1st December. The former shooter from Namco marks its first 70s release, while the latter from Arika represents its inaugural 32-bit title.

While many of you will already be familiar with Galaxian, Tetris: The Grand Master is a bit of a deeper cut. Originally released in arcades in 1998, the game has the faithful brick stacking gameplay that you may already be familiar with, but its big twist is its inclusion of a ranking system that grades your performance as you progress through its increasingly difficult levels.

And it sounds like the Arcade Archives series is not going anywhere. “In the future, we plan to release titles from the 1970s and 32-bit titles one after another,” a spokesperson told Famitsu magazine. “Please look forward to the upcoming Arcade Archives series.” Are there any specific titles you’d like to see join the growing collection?
