Ubisoft Is Headed Back To Steam With Assassin's Creed Valhalla Coming December 6

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will be one of a few Ubisoft titles to come to Steam, marking the publisher's return to the platform after a few years away.

A new store listing was spotted on Steam (via Eurogamer), showing the latest Assassin's Creed entry set in Viking Age England will be coming to the platform on December 6th. Currently, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is available via Ubisoft's Connect app, as well as the Epic Games Store.

This is the first time in years that we've seen a mainline Ubisoft game listed on Valve's storefront on PC, and it doesn't seem to be the only one coming. A spokesperson for Ubisoft tells Eurogamer that more titles in their library will also be making the move, such as Anno 1800 and Roller Champions coming as well.

December 6th isn't an out-of-nowhere date, either, as Assassin's Creed Valhalla will see its final DLC drop on that day as the team closes the door on Eivor's story. It also will mean that the team will not be implementing a New Game + mode as has been requested multiple times by players since the AC title launched in 2020. Players will also no longer see seasonal festivals run through Ravensthorpe, though the rewards from each will be available in the in-game marketplace.
