Meta acquires Camouflaj, Armature Studio, and Twisted Pixel

The developers behind Iron Man VR, Recore, and Path of the Warrior join Oculus Studios

Meta announced during its Connect Keynote 2022 that it has acquired Camouflaj, Armature Studio, and Twisted Pixel.

The news of the three studios joining Oculus Studios took place as it also revealed the Meta Quest Pro.

Founded in 2011, Camouflaj developed the adventure title République for consoles and PC. It was revealed that the studio has partnered with Marvel Entertainment, Endeavor One, and Sony Interactive Entertainment to bring Marvel's Iron Man VR to the Meta Quest 2 on November 3.

Armature Studio was established in 2008 and has gone on to develop titles such as Recore and Where the Heart Leads. Last year, the game developer launched Resident Evil 4 to the Meta Quest 2.

After opening in 2006, Twisted Pixel Games library of games included 'Splosion Man, Comic Jumper, and Path of the Warrior.

These new acquisitions join Meta's ongoing efforts to grow its VR division.

In 2020, Meta purchased Ready at Dawn and Sanzaru Games. Last year, the tech giant added Downpour Interactive and BigBox VR.
